With mixed emotions this will be it...our final performance. After careful consideration of many factors, we made the decision to end the project. It was heart-wrenching and difficult, but necessary. Due to Ken's ongoing health issues, he's been unable to provide a consistent performance, which isn't fair to our awesome band or our audiences. We hope you will make the trip to Quincy in August to see us and give us the opportunity to thank you for your enthusiastic support over the last few years. You are the reason behind the music! It was Ken's mission and passion to bring people happiness while at our shows, if only for a few hours. Based on your reactions, we feel we accomplished that! We appreciate the welcome and hospitality at each and every venue we have played and wish them continued success in bringing live music to the people. And finally, but most importantly, we are so truly grateful for the passion and dedication that our current, former, and fill-in players brought to Kenny and the Crew. We were touched and humbled to be surrounded by such great talents. We have the utmost respect and admiration for all of you and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors... Well life takes a funny turn sometimes and we have to deal with it. I believe everything happens for a reason and we should learn from every challenge we face. For the past several months I have been facing health issues, recently it became obvious that a life style change was needed...and fast. Following the advice of my doctor I have had to slow down a bit, take some time to get healthy. Nobody can burn the candle at both ends (and the middle) at the same time forever. So, the plan is to take the next 6 months off. Get some rest, get healthy, and plan the next step. The next step? It will be a great one. I am already very excited; it will be bigger and better than ever. An event…something to talk about to your friends, neighbors, and co-workers. I feel very blessed that I have been able to work with the best musicians and singers. The talent I have been able to rub shoulders with has been nothing short of astounding. To them I am very grateful. My tribute to them is to keep going, so that their time, effort, and commitment would not be in vain. Without their devotion and commitment THIS project would never have gotten off the ground...GOD bless you one and all... Kenny |
